JOB OVERVIEW
The City of Grandville is seeking an experienced, motivated, and community-minded leader to fill the position of Assistant City Manager. The Assistant City Manager is primarily responsible for the City’s community development functions, including: planning and zoning, code enforcement, economic development, and communications, while serving as the liaison to key boards and commissions.

- 94 full-time employees, 13 part-time employees seasonal employees

- Full-service municipal operations
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in public administration or a related field, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Three (3) years of managerial experience in a municipal government
- Valid Driver’s License
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with boards and commissions, city departments, businesses, community groups and residents.
- Interpret, apply, and explain complex laws, codes, and regulations.
- Prepare clear, concise written materials, analyze complex policy questions, and present effective recommendations.
- Build effective teams, motivate and develop staff, manage programs, projects, and budgets.
