About the Fleet Team Division:
The Fleet Services Division is responsible for repair and maintenance of over 700 pieces of equipment that are utilized to serve our community in the areas of Public Safety, Street Maintenance, Wastewater, Water, Solid Waste, Recycling, Urban Forestry, Parks and Open Space, as well as Public Transportation through a collaborative partnership with Grand Valley Transit. - Inspect, repair, and adjust a variety of systems on light and heavy equipment and vehicles, including emergency vehicles, fire apparatus, and parks power equipment.
- Perform thorough diagnostic procedures on a variety of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems through use of visual inspections and specialized testing equipment and devices.
- Design, build, and fabricate specialized projects by performing woodworking and MIG welding; prepare cost and material estimates for projects.
- Perform a variety of duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, timers, and hydraulic valves and controllers in assigned facilities.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records, reports, and logs according to regulatory guidelines using a computerized database.
- One (1) to three (3) years of equipment repair experience.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain within six (6) months from hire, a Colorado Class B Commercial Driver License.
- Possession of Air Conditioning Recovery and Recycle certification.
- An orientation toward safety, teamwork, and a professional and positive attitude.
