Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Superintendent, performs duties related to the operations of the Glenn Heights Community Center. These duties include the front desk, rentals, athletic leagues, class programming, youth room, rentals, gymnasium, and fitness center. This position is also charged with enforcing Community Center rules and regulations. In addition - organizes and implements recreational activities and programs for citizens. Promotes programs and services and encourages participation from area residents.
Essential duties and functions may include the following. Must possess required knowledge skills, abilities and experience and to be able to explain and
demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Other related duties may be assigned.
1. Scheduling and delivery of daily program meals to residential locations within the City of Glenn Heights.
2. Accurately complete grant documentation related to the meal distribution program.
3. Upon re-opening of the Senior Center, employee will assist in the serving of daily meals to facility members.
4. Assist in the administration of program activities at the Senior Center.
5. Transport members to programmed field trips and events using a city passenger vehicle
6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Parks & Recreation Superintendent.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-year experience in food safety and handling.
Licenses and Certifications:
• Texas Class “C" driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
• Ability to obtain certification as a Food Safety Manager
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, written correspondence and communication skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Exceptional Customer Service Skills and Practices
• Basic understanding vehicle safety rules and operating procedures.

- The incumbent may perform work in an outdoor environment with exposure to hazardous and unpleasant conditions in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, temperature swings and inclement weather.
- Work requires frequent stooping, standing, walking, sitting, twisting, pulling, pushing.
- May be required to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds of equipment multiple times per day.
Salary : $43,056 - $61,381
