Maintains warehouse, shop, and grounds.

The work consists of related equipment maintenance duties. The variety of
equipment to be maintained contributes to the complexity of the work.
The purpose of this position is to maintain city vehicles and equipment. Successful
performance helps ensure the provision of safe and well-maintained vehicles for a
variety of city operations.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT**
The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping.
The employee frequently lifts light and frequently heavy objects, climbs ladders,
uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and distinguishes
between shades of color.
The work is performed in a stockroom, warehouse, or outdoors, occasionally in cold
or inclement weather. The employee is exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, and
machinery with moving parts. Work may require the use of protective devices such
as masks, eye protection, gloves, hard-toe shoes, etc.
**SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY**
None.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
High school diploma or GED.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties
of the position, usually associated with the completion of an
apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to three years.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Class C driver's license issued by
the State of Wyoming with forklift certification issued by the City of Gillette.
