What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works position at City of Gaastra?
The City of Gaastra is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Public Works Employee for a full-time position.
The successful candidate will have a valid Michigan CDL license.
An S-4 or higher water license is a plus, but will train to become licensed.
The responsibilities include, but not limited to, performing maintenance tasks for public buildings, roads, parks, and other structures. Keeping the roads cleared during inclement weather is a must. Monthly Water Sampling per EGLE requirements will be preformed.
The ideal candidate should be physically capable, responsible, and a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of operating various types of maintenance and construction equipment.
The ideal candidate must pass a drug test.

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
