The City of La Crosse is seeking to hire temporary summer laborers at the La Crosse Regional Airport. It is the responsibility of the La Crosse Regional Airport to provide daily air service to the 7 Rivers Region ensuring robust economic development, supporting regional employers, and providing quality leisure travel options for the region’s residents. These temporary positions will work approximately 40 hours per week with standard hours of Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour. Positions to start 5/4/2026 and end 8/28/2026. Positions are limited term and do not acquire benefits.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct tasks such as mowing, landscaping & weed control
- Assists with painting
- Light janitorial duties
- General labor/maintenance
- Assist with projects & other day to day work
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required
- Must be able to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check for airport badging
- Ability to walk/stand majority of the day
- Ability to communicate effectively with department personnel and general public
- Ability to exert physically demanding work, typically involving a combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling
- Motivated, responsible, and have excellent time management skills
