As a Streets Technician, you'll perform essential construction, maintenance, and cleaning duties to keep the City of Frankfort functioning safely and efficiently under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist with the installation, construction, repair, and cleaning of City property, including streets, roads, sidewalks, storm sewers, culverts, catch basins, manholes, and drainage ditches.
- Groundskeeping & Beautification: Perform tasks like mowing grass, collecting leaves, and cutting weeds, trees, and tree limbs.
- Roadway Safety: Help maintain road signage, paint curbs and parking lines, and assist with salting/sanding and snow removal during winter weather.
- Construction Support: Assist in general construction duties, including pouring concrete and making forms.
- Vehicle & Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate Non-CDL required light and medium vehicles and equipment.
- Emergency Response: Be available to respond to after-hours emergencies such as weather events, ensuring the city remains operational.
- Teamwork: Be ready to assist other Public Works Divisions as needed.
