The City of Foster City is seeking energetic, self-motivated, and organized candidates for the Deputy City Clerk position in the Communications/City Clerk Department. This management level position assists the Communications Director/City Clerk in City Council agenda management, the administration of municipal elections and FPPC reporting, organizing responses to Public Records Act requests, executing post City Council meeting follow up, including processing of Council actions and agreements, coordinating the City-wide records management program, and budget operations. The Deputy City Clerk may also provide general support to the Communications Division with public engagement/outreach efforts.
Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way would be:
: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by course work in public administration or a closely related field.
: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible clerical experience in a municipal organization of which at least two years have involved providing administrative office support services at the division or departmental level in a public agency.
Pay: $97,577.17 - $118,605.55 per year
