Position: Analytical Chemist
Department: WPC Plant
Pay: $26.61- $37.25
Schedule: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (may vary as needed)
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
What You'll Do
- Perform chemical, bacteriological, and physical analysis on water and wastewater samples.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
- Collect samples from wastewater lines, rivers, ponds, and plant processes.
- Prepare reagents, test solutions, and maintain lab records and quality control charts.
- Assist with lab projects, train interns, and support plant operations with sample collection.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years analytical lab experience, familiarity with EPA methods and automated instrumentation.
- Strong skills in data analysis, statistical evaluation, and scientific problem-solving.
- Valid Indiana Driver's License; ability to obtain Class II and Class IV Wastewater Treatment Licenses.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
