SUMMARY: The Water Utility Maintenance Operator is a seasonal (6 months) position with the City of Fort Collins Utilities Stormwater Maintenance Division and performs maintenance and repair on stormwater facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.

SUMMARY: The Water Utility Maintenance Operator is a seasonal (6 months) position with the City of Fort Collins Utilities Stormwater Maintenance Division and performs maintenance and repair on stormwater facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
- Assisting Water Systems Operators in daily maintenance and repair tasks such as replacing water, wastewater, or storm water facilities; fire hydrants; valves, manholes and storm inlets.
- Ride-a-long with Water Systems Operators and assist in using hand tools, small non-motorized equipment and other equipment needed for the maintenance of Water, Sewer and Stormwater Systems.
- Could participate on a seasonal mowing crew and operate Lawn Mowers, Tractors, Weed Trimmers, etc.
- Completes a maintenance check and performs minor repairs on fire hydrants and secondary valves and restores finish to fire hydrants.
- Operates and maintains equipment and vehicles such as truck, pressure washer, paint sprayer and other applicable equipment.
- Provides customer service by answering questions, providing information and resolving complaints and problems.
- May occasionally work with another stormwater crews repairing infrastructure.
