- Perform or oversee general maintenance of Natural Areas such as grounds and landscape maintenance, restoration and weed control, or construction and maintenance of visitor amenities.
- Train and guide the work of seasonal employees, contract laborers, and volunteers.
- May be assigned to keep inventory, purchase tools and supplies, perform carpentry tasks, clean, remove trash, and make general repairs as necessary.
- May perform weed control using various techniques including applying herbicides, mowing, or hand-pulling. Will also oversee work crews performing weed control activities.
- Operate and maintain equipment including tractor, mower, seed drill, spray and water truck, weed whip, chainsaw, table saw, dump truck, backhoe, loader, snow plow, all-terrain vehicle, skid steer, chipper, and various hand and power tools.
- May assist and support the construction, inspection, and maintenance of trails and various types of fences.
- May perform and assist with design and building of benches, kiosks, foot bridges, and boardwalks.
- May help to plan, design, and implement site-specific maintenance, public improvement, and habitat enhancement projects.
- May assist with or oversee wildlife management including monitoring, pest control, and habitat enhancements.
- May assist with or oversee vegetation monitoring.

- Minimum of 2 years related experience in natural resources or landscape management.
- Valid driver’s license. Commercial Driver's License required within 3 months of hire. Colorado Pesticide Applicator’s License – Certified Operator, required within 3 months of hire. May require additional certifications specific to area of operation.
