- Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates recreation programs and services.
- Responsible for assigned facilities; schedules use and maintenance of facilities.
- Prepares budget and directs expenditure of department funds and keeping of department records.
- Interprets recreation programs to public and maintains cooperative planning and working relationships with allied public and voluntary agencies. Develops and maintains professional relationships with these agencies.
- Promotes recreation programs by assisting in the preparation of publications, brochures, news releases, flyers, seminars, clinics, etc.
- Maintains records and writes reports including year-end information.
- Maintains equipment inventory, records, and filing systems.
- Provides interpretation and guidance regarding City policies and safety regulations.
- Maintains cooperative and compatible working relations.
