This is a full-time salaried position with the City with an anticipated hiring salary range of $45,000-$54,000 a year! The Parking Enforcement Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations within designated areas. This role involves patrolling assigned locations, issuing citations for illegal or expired parking, and addressing parking violations courteously yet firmly. Officers also educate the public about parking code, assist with the removal of illegally parked vehicles when necessary, and collaborate with local law enforcement or City officials on enforcement issues. The ideal candidate will have some related experience and/or training. We are looking for someone with a passion for community to bring their skills in communication and de-escalation to the City!

- Patrols assigned areas to monitor compliance and issue tickets to violators.
- Maintains records of daily enforcement activities.
- Educates and informs the public of parking issues and ordinances.
- Responds to public inquiries and complaints regarding parking services, policies, procedures; resolves conflicts with parking violators.
- Installs vehicle immobilization devices.
- May participate in parking studies and other special parking projects.
- Collects money deposited in meters, parking structures, and ticket boxes.
- Attends court to defend parking citations.
- Trains new parking officers.
- May work in parking structure or at the Parking Services front counter as needed.
- Provides emergency first response services to the public.
- Creates and maintains enforcement manuals, employee information and map.
