Sports supervisors are expected to have general knowledge of adult and youth sports programs offered by the City of Fort Collins. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Must be able to work weeknights and some weekends. -Enforce sports rules and policies with staff and participants. -Maintains work area, facilities, supplies and equipment. -Completes a variety of paperwork daily log, results and incidents reports. -Assist with any first aid, CPR and other medical attention as needed. -Provide exceptional customer service to all guest. -Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings -Performs all other related duties. -Maintain professional appearance with required staff shirt and/or jacket. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: -Ability to work with diverse staff and participants. -Ability to communicate effectively with participants, other departments, and management. -Ability to defuse stressful situations. -Ability to communicate sports rules, regulations and enforce policies. -Must be organized when completing daily log, results, and incident reports. -Ability to explain/demonstrate concepts and techniques to guests as they participate in recreation activities. -Ability to remain composed in emergency situations and make sound judgments. -Ability to recognize safety hazards and notify supervisors. -Ability to operate all assigned equipment safely. -Ability to perform first aid as needed. -Ability to provide customer service in a fast paced, chaotic environment. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED preferred. One year of sports-related experience preferred. Must successfully pass all required employment screens.
