IT Inter / Co-OP

The City of Forest Park is hiring a part-time Information Technology Intern (or Co-Op) to assist in a variety of entry level IT tasks.  This can be intern or co-op position.  We expect a work schedule of three, 8 hour days each week for a total of 24 hours.  

• Job shadowing/assist with projects 
  1. Assist with setup/configuration/testing
  2. Research issues/solutions, attend, interact and document meetings and tasks
• Install, configure new computers, tablets, 
  1. Phones, Windows and IOS; setup hardware, 
  2. Configure and install software
  3. Setup new end point devices at user work spaces 
  4. Migrate data, settings and accounts
  5. Set up printing
  6. Document setup
• basic maintenance and troubleshooting for hardware and software on endpoint devices
• help with sorting, organizing and labeling storage room/data center

• Have good communication skills to discuss IT concepts with end users
• Be able to take good notes
• Be self-reliant and attempt to work a problem to it’s conclusion
• Be comfortable working in a very dynamic environment

Must be in college for an IT degree.  

Salary : $17 - $19
