Plumbing Inspector/Asst Building Inspect

JOB REQUIREMENTS: TThe City of Fond du Lac Inspection Division is

accepting applications for a Plumbing Inspector/Asst Building Inspector.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure public safety by

conducting plumbing inspections, reviewing plumbing permits and plans

and assisting plumbing contractors and property owners. Oversees the

Inspection Division in the absence of the Chief Inspector. The

Successful Candidate Will Have The Knowledge, Experience, And Skills

necessary to perform the essential duties of the following: Field

Inspections o Onsite inspections of plumbing work Working with Plumbing

Contractors o Working with plumbing contractors on code questions,

working with State on code questions; reviewing plumbing plans (the City

is a designated plumbing plan review entity for the State); conduct

educational sessions on plumbing code issues for plumbing contractors

Working with the Public o Answering questions from the public about

plumbing issues; general/basic code inquiries Administrative

Review/Permit/Plan Review o Review and process plumbing permits, review

plumbing plans Complaints o Dealing with complaints from the public or
