We are seeking qualified candidates for a full-time position (38.75 hrs./week – Monday – Friday between 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) of Help Desk Support Analyst. The position is responsible for providing professional and efficient helpdesk support. A hands-on and strong customer service mindset individual under the general supervision of the Deputy Director – Information Technology will assist in the maintenance of the computer desktop environment by installing hardware and software solutions and upgrades, resolving software related problems, while internally supporting the City of Fond du Lac’s PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, servers and related equipment.
Primary Duties include:
· Provide first-level support, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to hardware, AV equipment, networks, and software.
· Assists with setup, configurations, and hardware, software, and network deployments.
· Track and manage incidents using the ticketing system and escalate to a higher-level support team if necessary.
· Document and maintain procedural documentation and maintain accurate inventory count of IT equipment.
· Provide user training on hardware and associated software.
· Work on special projects as assigned.
· Perform regular maintenance tasks and monitor system performance alerts to identify and resolve issues proactively.
· Assist with basic network security tasks by running software updates, patch management, backups, and system checks.
· Provide scheduled on-call and 24x7 technical support as part of an on-call, which includes off-support hours, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable Training and Experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities:
· Associate’s Degree (or Equivalent) in Information System or Computer Science related field
· A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience in a related IT field.
SALARY RANGE: $29.20 - $34.16/hour based upon knowledge, skills, and abilities.
