Part-time, Seasonal Employment
The City of Fayetteville is seeking Recreation Assistants to assist with the instruction of tennis clinics and lessons. The Recreation Assistant is responsible for set up and break down of equipment/activities, providing training to students who wish to learn the fundamentals of play, improve their skills and learn the rules of the game of tennis.
The ideal candidate would have advanced knowledge of the game and rules of tennis and instruction of basic fundamentals with a background in tennis, coaching and instruction of children and adults. High school playing experience and/or tournament/match play experience or higher preferred.

From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last approximately 4 - 6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview with the selected candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving history check.

- Help organize and assist by supervising recreation programs and services at an assigned center.
- Enforce recreation center rules and regulations as it relates to safety and procedure.
- Help prepare, setup and disassemble appropriate materials and equipment for activities.
- Receive money for center use; write and issue receipts.
- Answer questions and provide information to the public concerning recreation center programs and assigned activities.
