Location: Ranches Tennis Courts
Schedule: Part-time / Seasonal (flexible hours, mornings during the summer and evenings during the fall and spring)
Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Tennis Instructor to support our tennis programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with athletes of all ages, has a passion for tennis, and is eager to help players develop their skills in a fun and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the head instructor in planning and leading tennis lessons.
- Teach and demonstrate fundamental tennis skills, including strokes, footwork, and rules
- Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to players
- Help organize and set up courts, drills, and equipment before and after sessions
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of various age groups and skill levels
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive learning atmosphere
- Supervise participants to ensure safety and adherence to program guidelines
- Assist with match play and scrimmages.
- Track attendance and communicate effectively with staff, players, and parents
- Maintain and organize equipment and assist with general facility upkeep
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of tennis techniques and rules
- Previous playing or coaching experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with children, teens, and adults
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
