Reporting directly to the Director of Innovation & Technology, you will lead the IT Infrastructure team to deliver and support a reliable and cost-effective service across all support systems.
- Managing the day to day operational and projects tasks within the IT Infrastructure team.
- Procure, install, configure, and maintain all technology in conjunction internal business partners. Ensure solutions align with company strategy and that the business users receive the training they need to fully leverage the application investments.
- Create processes and protocols for managing infrastructure technology to ensure it runs as designed, is reliable and secure. Troubleshoot as needed to minimize business disruption.
- Manage vendor relationships for purchased products, services, and support. Ensure service providers deliver on SOW.
- Manage network and server infrastructure in a cost-effective manner. Ensure adequate, reliable, and secure connectivity to the Internet.
- Manage security and controls for network, servers, storage, databases, and end user devices
- Work with staff to manage company data sources including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft file shares and Microsoft 365 data repositories
- Manage desktop, peripheral devices, and end user experience.
- Manage voice system, SIP trunks and fax solutions.
- Manage software licensing in infrastructure domain.
- Research, vet and recommend procurement of IT services and physical infrastructure related to the infrastructure domain.
- Manage vendors that are contracted to implement and services and support infrastructure components.
- Manage IT Infrastructure team and third-party IT service providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Five years of progressive management experience in information technology operations, strategic budget planning, project management including two years leading teams in the support of information technology systems.
- An equivalent combination of the above experience and education to satisfy the minimum requirements of the position.
- A valid Texas Driver License, Class C.
- ITIL Foundations Certification within 12 months of employment.
- Experience in local government or public sector is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and completion, while meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- Relevant industry certifications in virtualization and network technologies as we as system administration.
- Previous experience of leading an infrastructure management team.

Background Requirements:
Candidates offered a position must successfully complete the following:- A comprehensive background check, to include nationwide criminal, sex offender, motor vehicle review, education and employment verification, address history and SSN trace.
- A Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) fingerprint criminal background check. Must be able to comply with state and federal requirements for criminal justice security standards.
- A pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. This position will be subject to random drug and alcohol screening during the length of employment.

- Work Environment:
Environment: The Infrastructure Manager typically works in an office setting but may be required to visit other city facilities. On call rotation for supporting information technology 24 hours a day. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required, particularly during system upgrades, maintenance, City Council meetings, or emergency situations.
Physical Requirements: In the performance of job duties, incumbent is required to talk and hear and attend meetings for prolonged periods of time. The incumbent must be able to lift 50 pounds; work in confined spaces; stoop, kneel and crouch and have sufficient manual dexterity to use office equipment such as computer keyboards, cell phones, multi-line phones, calculators and hand and power tools within the confines of computer equipment.
Salary : $101,146 - $161,830
