What are the responsibilities and job description for the Economic Development Coordinator position at City of Fairview Heights?
This position is responsible for coordination the Economic Development initiatives for the city, including coordinating new business and business retention efforts along with the Director of Land Use and Economic Development. Key responsibilities include identifying prospective businesses, working with prospects and existing businesses to guide them through the onboarding process, reviewing business development incentive packages, engaging with existing small and medium business owners. This individual will engage with local business organizations and represent the city at various meetings and events. The coordinator will prepare business development proposals to present to the Director, Mayor, committees and the City Council. This individual will be responsible for supervising Economic Development effort and staff involved in business development and retention. This position will assist in the management and development of City marketing initiatives. This position shall also be responsible for providing mass media and social media posts, updates and responses to various platforms.
Salary : $51,698 - $80,284
