Part-time Cashier (Concessions Lead)

The Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department seeks an energetic and responsible individual to join the seasonal concessions team. This position provides concessions leadership at the Aquatic Center, as well as limited concessions support at the City's nearby golf courses. Daily duties will include ensuring all task lists are completed, working concessions positions as needed, taking inventory, verifying cash register shift reports, cooking food, and cleaning kitchen and concessions areas.

The Concessions Lead will also assist with golf outings as needed and may also assist with other services to ensure an exceptional experience at the Fairfield Aquatic Center and South Trace Golf Course.

• Work concessions positions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversee cash register operations and prepare daily deposits.
• Prepare and prep food with minimal supervision for Parks events
• Take out all trash cans in concession area and clean up the outside concessions area.
• Assist in the golf outings with the preparation of food and drinks.
• Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Coordinator and/or Hospitality & Rental Manager.
  

• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to develop and maintain working relationships.
• ServSafe certification or experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
  

• Moderate physical effort required.
• Moving cases of water, food, and supplies.
• Maximum unassisted lift is 50 lbs.
• Average lift is 15 lbs.
• Ability to communicate verbally in person and via telephone.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Shifts vary from 4 to 9 hours in length, between the hours of 10 am and 9 pm.
