The City of Escanaba is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Public Safety Officer.
This position involves a wide range of duties, including the protection of life and property, firefighting, rescue operations, emergency aid, response to hazardous materials incidents, police patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement, and other related law enforcement activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- MCOLES certified, certifiable, or currently enrolled in a police academy
- Preference will be given to candidates with a two- or four-year degree in Law Enforcement or a related field
Compensation:
- Wage range: $27.86 – $34.84 per hour, commensurate with qualifications
- Residency requirement: Must reside within 20 miles of the Escanaba city limits
