The City of Englewood is seeking an energetic and forward-thinking Deputy Director of Engineering & Asset Management to help guide our Public Works Department into its next chapter of excellence and innovation.

As a key member of our executive leadership team, you'll do more than manage engineering and capital projects, you’ll lead transformation. You’ll drive strategy, inspire teams, and deliver real, lasting impact for the people who live, work, and play in Englewood. From multimillion-dollar capital projects and city-wide asset management systems to street maintenance and emergency operations, your work will help build a stronger, more connected community.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a trusted advisor, strategic planner, and technical expert across the city’s infrastructure programs.
  • Lead the Capital Projects & Engineering Division with vision, purpose, and heart—delivering innovative, future-ready solutions.
  • Manage the city's infrastructure like a well-oiled machine; plan, prioritize, and optimize performance across multiple divisions.
  • Collaborate with public officials, community members, regional agencies, and internal partners to advance projects that matter.
  • Mentor, develop, and empower a talented team of engineers and public works professionals to be their best.
  • Be the voice of public works at City Council and Transportation Advisory Committee meetings; bringing transparency, solutions, and accountability.
  • Oversee budgeting, capital planning, compliance, and emergency response efforts, ensuring that every detail supports the greater vision.
