What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Custodian position at City of Effingham?
The City of Effingham is seeking candidates for Part-Time Custodian. The starting wage for this position is $16.12 per hour for approximately thirty (30) hours of work per week. Employees in this position receive one (1) hour of paid leave for every forty (40) hours of time worked. No other fringe benefits are offered for this position. Some evening and weekend shifts are required. This posting will remain open until the position is filled.
DUTIES:
· Cleaning of City-operated buildings, including mopping, vacuuming, floor-buffing, dusting, window cleaning, etc.;
· Minor building maintenance;
· Operation of cleaning equipment;
· Set-up of chairs, tables, displays, etc. for events and meetings;
· Moving furniture and other items;
· Other related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Pass medical physical;
· Pass drug screen;
· Pass background check.
