A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RIGHT OF WAY MANAGER
As a Right of Way Manager, you spend your day managing and overseeing right of way division such as monitoring expenditures on division budget, oversee preparation of reports, ensure timely completion of projects, and make recommendations to the Director and Assistant Director. Your work typically involves assistance in managing the development and implementation of department goals, objectives and policies. Your job is essential to the city, you select, motivate and evaluate department staff, and provide training and development. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. This can include participating in preparing, examining, and correcting contract documents. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with skills in Operations of the Right of Way Division and you finding genuine enjoyment in what you do!

Qualifications For a Right Of Way Manager
- High school diploma, GED or equivalency.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree in related fields.
- Educational Substitute: One (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires five (5) years of related work experience with at least three of those years including supervisory experience
- Preferred: Five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Level I Work Zone Certification
- Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
