Under the direction of the City Clerk, the Records Management – Information Specialist provides administrative and technical management of the City-wide records repository and serves as the City's records custodian. The position works with confidential information and is responsible for facilitating the fulfillment of public record requests in accordance with state law. Performs duties pertaining to general records analysis, storage, classification, protection, and review. Coordinates the transfer, disposition, or destruction of records according to established policy. Work requires the ability to perform multiple detailed functions accurately and efficiently in a timely manner. The Records Management – Information Specialist works with the public, across City departments, and with the City Attorney to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
