Essential Job Duties
What You’ll Do in This Role:
- Greet and assist visitors in person and by telephone, providing information about Chapman Hill and City attractions, programs, and activities
- Manage facility access and monitor identification systems
- Process activity registrations, facility admissions, room rentals, and locker reservations
- Handle cash, operate computerized cash registers, and complete related accounting tasks
- Monitor equipment check-outs and assist with merchandise sales
- Direct visitors to staff, meetings, activities, and programs within the facility
- Operate computers, telephones, and other office equipment to complete daily tasks
- Assist with facility policies and procedures and promote safe work practices
- Assist with inventory, supply orders, and other facility needs
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
You Have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- One year of customer service and clerical experience, including cash handling
- Possession of or the ability to obtain CPR, first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) certification
- Possession of or the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license
- Provide friendly, responsive service while assisting a variety of visitors and customers
- Stay organized and accurate while handling registrations, payments, cash, and other transactions
- Communicate clearly and professionally in person and by telephone
- Can balance customer service with the administrative and operational needs of a busy recreation facility
