The City of Dunn is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Equipment Operator at the Public Works Department. Employee performs functions that require a high level of skill and confidence operating heavy machinery and equipment in the construction, maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, storm drain system, and related infrastructure. Operates a variety of heavy equipment such as backhoe, front end loader, street sweeper, grapple truck, leaf vacuum truck, tandem dump truck, tractors, etc. When not operating equipment, performs work with crews to install, repair, replace, or maintain sections of streets, sidewalks, curb and gutter, storm drains, potholes, utility cuts, etc. Inspects assigned vehicle/equipment and performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance. Graduation from high school and related experience operating heavy equipment required.
