Librarian - Teen & Young Adult Services

Pay: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: Full-Time; includes evenings and weekends as needed.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service at the circulation desk.
• Assist patrons with technology, research, and library resources.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate programs and activities for teens and young adults.
• Promote and market library services, resources, and events.
• Provide readers' advisory services and recommend materials.
• Assist with collection development and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software issues.
• Maintain records and statistics within the integrated library system.
• Create publications, promotional materials, and website content.
• Conduct community outreach and build partnerships that support library services.
• Supervise and provide guidance to library assistants during evening and weekend hours.
• Assist with administrative duties including reports, correspondence, and departmental records.
• Support library operations and provide backup assistance as needed.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Education, Humanities, Library Science, or a related field.
• One to three years of public library, technical services, circulation, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience working with teens and young adults is highly desirable.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Library Science (MLS).
• North Dakota Library Media Certification (LM03).
  
  

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties requiring standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
