Summary
Responsible for supporting the distribution center operations by supervising staff, material planning, inventory management, project tracking, forecasting, ordering, and reverse logistics of materials and/or finished goods. Accountable for providing materials and support for new utility construction, emergency utility repairs, and maintenance of citywide infrastructure in a timely and customer-friendly manner.

DUTIES
- Assist Warehouse Manager with ensuring safety of Warehouse personnel, safeguarding warehouse assets, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
- Perform material planning, complete ordering and accurate recording of materials and equipment; administer the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) module for 2000 commodities.
- Oversee inventory control and ensure inventory records provide for timely and accurate stock replenishment; monitor inventory levels, identify, and address obsolescence stock, and maintain safety stock, minimum, and maximum levels ensuring material availability.
- Forecast material demand based on consumption and historical sales data; track outages and work with buyers and vendors to expedite materials to meet Required Delivery Dates (RDD’s); collaborate with internal stakeholders on shortages impacting projects.
- Administer the capital and development project tracker for utility departments to ensure projects are tracked, committed, charged, and closed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs); research, monitor, and report status to customers as needed.
- Monitor and assure compliance with inventory and purchasing practices and policies.
- Support Warehouse Manager with Distribution Centers shipping and Exempt Bin services.
- Responsible for processing inventory returns; ensure paperwork is filed and reported according to SOP.
- Select, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; recommend assignment/assignment change, retention, discipline, and dismissal.
- Assist with budget development, management, and monitoring; maintain accurate budget reporting; ensure that operations are cost-effective, and funds are managed wisely.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent; and,
- Four (4) years’ experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, and/or related field; and,
- One (1) year experience in a management or supervisory capacity; and,
- Must have Forklift Certification,
- Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.

- Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse, and reaching; moderate climbing.
- Lifting: Lifting no more than 50 pounds and carrying up to 25 pounds.
- Environment: Works in an office setting office, warehouse setting and outside with exposure to sun, heat, cold and inclement weather, noise, chemicals, odor, debris, and rough terrain; occasionally requires irregular and/or prolonged hours.
- Travel: Travels to City of Denton buildings and professional meetings as required.
- Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position. Must be able to work after normal business hours and weekends, as needed. Must be able to respond to after-hour calls, as needed.
