Description
Performs tasks and assignments that will ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment at the City Maintenance facility incorporating the Team Denison Way. Performs a variety of other support functions for Public Works as directed by the Fleet Services Superintendent.
Examples of Duties

- Provide tire service for City vehicles and equipment at Service Center and/or job site locations
- Service vehicles/equipment (change oil, all filters & grease, etc.) on a regular basis as required
- Assist mechanics with various daily operations
- Replace wiper blades, lights, hydraulic hoses and mud flaps
- Clean shop area and work maintenance bays
- Perform routine grounds maintenance
- Clean restrooms and break area
- Pick up/deliver supplies and parts as needed
- Maintain simple records of tire inventory, supplies and parts used
- Other duties as required by the Fleet Division Manager or Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good knowledge of methods, techniques and tools for Fleet activity
- Good knowledge and skill in the use of tools, materials and supplies required to repair or replace tires, service equipment and perform preventative maintenance
- Good knowledge of departmental policies and procedures relating to servicing equipment and monitoring records of service
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions
Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have high school diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License is required at time of placement with CDL and/or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Must be able to maintain consistent attendance
