- Open and close City parks and facilities at the posted times.
- Patrol City facilities, including parks, trails, community centers, City Hall and surrounding City buildings.
- Check pavilions/gazebos throughout shift to ensure cleanliness and safety. Report hazards or concerns.
- Check pavilions, gazebos and fields scheduled for rental and again post-event to ensure cleanliness and safety. Report hazards or concerns.
- Provide information to guests and park patrons; educate the public on park rules and regulations and provide information as needed
- Check the parks and restrooms throughout the shift and report damage, vandalism, and/or repairs as needed to the appropriate department.
- Perform light maintenance duties such as trash pick up in restrooms, parks, around pavilions, fields, and playgrounds.
- Keep parks and facilities clean and safe by reporting maintenance needs quickly.
- Knowledge of City ordinances, Florida state parking statutes.
- Knowledge of parks and recreation rules and regulations.
- Ability to write and speak effectively.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates and general public.
- Ability to demonstrate keen powers of observation and physical ability.
- Skills in communication and public relations.
- Ability to use tablet, computer, and other office equipment
- High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- Two (2) years recreation or related experience.
- Valid Florida Driver's License and clean driving record.
