JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, operates a radio dispatch system using public safety classification codes. Ensures that radio contact is maintained with officers in the field acting as a lifeline and providing support as needed. Questions individuals requiring assistance to determine assistance needed. Informs and dispatches officer. Performs training and shift supervisory duties as assigned. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- High School diploma or GED required.
- Requires two (2) years of dispatching experience in the department.
- In good standing the TCOLE licensing requirements.
Other Required Conditions of Employment:
- Must be at least 18 years of age (TCLEOSE requirement)
- Understand and speak the Spanish language preferred.
- Valid Texas Drivers’ License
- Must maintain current all certifications required by TCLEOSE during employment.
- Subject to an intensive background check. Applicant must meet the background requirements pursuant to TCLEOSE regulations and be able to obtain required certification.
