What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian | Part-Time position at City of Davenport?
Under general supervision performs work of routine cleaning and maintaining city facilities, and moving furnishings and equipment; and performs related work as required.
PAID LEAVE: Accruals are earned based on the actual hours worked and are credited on the second pay check of each November.

Performs routine maintenance tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash receptacles.
Ensures that all areas are free of safety hazards, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assists with the setup and breakdown of events, meetings, and activities as needed, including moving furnishings and equipment.
Follows established procedures for handling and disposing of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
Maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
Adheres to established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Maintains absolute confidentiality of information, situations and materials encountered on the job.
Performs other related duties as assigned or required. One year of custodial or building maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the required work in this position.
Must pass a background check and physical as prescribed by the City of Davenport.Working Knowledge of:

The use and care of cleaning materials and equipment.
Working Skill in:
Understanding oral and written instructions.
