This is an AmeriCorps position with the City of Davenport AmeriCorps Program.
Living Stipend: $16,000
Education Award: $5,176.50

Total Hours Required: 1200 hours
Position Description:
1) Participate in Training and Professional Development
- Participate in required onboarding and training related to trauma-informed practices, youth development, emotional regulation, recreation programming, safety, and program policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and community-based learning opportunities to strengthen program facilitation and leadership skills.
2) Develop Recreation and Wellness Activities
- Create recreation and wellness-focused activity plans that promote emotional well-being, social connection, and positive youth development.
- Develop instructional materials that include program objectives, activity procedures, supply needs, accessibility considerations, safety guidelines, and implementation details.
- Design activities that align with program themes and support engaging, inclusive experiences for participants.
3) Develop Emotional Regulation and Coping Skill Activities
- Create activities that promote emotional regulation, coping strategies, self-awareness, and overall wellness.
- Develop activity resources that include implementation guidance, required materials, and learning objectives.
- Design activities that complement program themes and encourage positive social-emotional development.
4) Support Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate the collection of participant feedback and program evaluation data.
- Compile evaluation results and contribute to reports that summarize participant outcomes and program impact.
- Use evaluation findings to identify opportunities for program improvement and future planning.
5) Facilitate Recreation and Wellness Programming
- Facilitate recreation, wellness, and social-emotional learning activities that promote participant engagement and positive youth development.
- Implement approved program curriculum and activity resources that align with program goals.
- Model healthy communication, teamwork, emotional regulation, and positive coping strategies during program activities.
- Maintain safe, organized, and welcoming activity spaces and support the preparation and organization of program materials.
- Document program implementation, participant engagement, and observations to support ongoing program evaluation.
6) Support End-of-Program Reflection and Sustainability
- Facilitate reflection activities that encourage participants to recognize personal growth and celebrate accomplishments.
- Gather participant feedback to inform future programming and strengthen participant experiences.
- Organize program materials and resources for future use.
- Contribute to program summaries and recommendations that support continuous improvement and long-term program sustainability.
7) Participate in Ongoing Mentorship and Program Planning
- Participate in regular meetings with the AmeriCorps Program Mentor to review responsibilities, reflect on service experiences, and support professional growth.
- Collaborate with program staff to evaluate activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen program implementation.
- Develop action plans and goals that support continuous learning and effective program delivery.
