What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technician position at City of Danville?
Responsible for the medical and mental care of Danville City Jail Inmates
Responsible for dispensing on all medication; responsible for making medical appointments for inmates; order all medication and medical supplies needed to operate the jail efficiently; maintain inmate medical records as specified by the Virginia Department of Corrections; treat inmates with minor injuries following jail doctors protocol; assist the jail physician on his weekly sick call.
Knowledge of approved principles, practices and procedures of Sheriff’s Office; knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Sheriff’s Office; ability to analyze injuries or illnesses. Be able to take blood pressure, vein puncture, and other vitals etc. of inmates
Licensed LPN/EMT experience Preferred.
Licensed LPN/EMT experience Preferred.
Valid Driver’s license
