As a Part-Time Commercial Building Inspector, you’ll ensure commercial construction projects follow all applicable codes, standards, rules, and regulations in Cottage Grove and surrounding communities.

Qualifications:
- High school graduation or equivalency, supplemented by additional specialized education in building inspection technology or related field AND
- Two (2) years of experience performing commercial building inspections and plan reviews OR
- Any satisfactory combination of education and/or experience.
- Must Possess and maintain a valid Oregon Class C Driver License with a clean driving record, ensuring the ability to safely operate a city vehicle to travel to inspection sites.
- Must successfully complete a post-conditional job offer background check.
- Must possess State of Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC).
- Must possess three or more of the following State of Oregon Certifications: A-Level Structural Inspector; A-Level Mechanical Inspector; A-Level Plumbing Inspector; Commercial Plans Examiner; Fire Life Safety Plans Examiner.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- State of Oregon Residential Structural Inspector and Plans Examiner; State of Oregon Residential Plumbing Inspector; State of Oregon Residential Electrical Inspector and/or State of Oregon Manufactured Structures Inspectors.
Part-Time schedule is anticipated at 2 days per week.
