CDL Inspection Mechanic

The City of Corry is seeking a skilled and dependable CDL Inspection Mechanic to join our Public Works team.

This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, inspection, and safe operation of City-owned vehicles and equipment, including light- and heavy-duty vehicles, CDL trucks, construction equipment, and utility equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a public service team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and maintain a Class B CDL with no equipment restrictions within six months of entering the position.
• Must obtain and maintain Class 1 and Class 3 (Class 7) Pennsylvania State Inspection Licenses for passenger and CDL vehicles.
• Mechanical, heavy equipment, automotive, construction, or skilled-trade experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights and in confined spaces, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be available for scheduled and unscheduled after-hours work and emergency response.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, customer service, and public service.

Compensation & Employment

Compensation: Per AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement
Employment Classification: Hourly

Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, OT eligible.
