Full-Time, FLSA Non-Exempt position Salary: $39,687 - $59,531 annually

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- High School Diploma or G.E.D., and one (1) year clerical/customer service experience,
- Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field, and one (1) year utility billing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets visitors, customers and members of the public. Answers incoming telephone calls and
directs callers to appropriate personnel and/or department. Responsible for daily cash
receipting to include utility payments, balancing the cash drawer, and daily reports. Creates
new utility accounts. Processes quarterly utility billing (sewer & trash). Coordinates with waste
connections regarding pick-up and delivery of trash containers. Processes document requests
from the public; copies and/or faxes. Processes Business License applications and related fees;
routes applications for approval; sends license to customer on approval. Processes
magistrate/bond, fingerprint, and police report payments; receipts individual fine payments;
Types and mails nonsufficient fund letters. Reviews check requests and purchase orders to
ensure that the proper account numbers are used, supporting documents are attached, and
totals are correct. Performs data entry of weekly accounts payable invoices. Processes weekly
payment of invoices and maintains accounts payable records. Serves as a Notary for the
finance department and the public. Processes, sorts and distributes departmental mail. Assists
in processing utility payments and/or payments for other City Departments; enters payment
information into departmental computer system. Provides assistance with utility billing
