Role Description
The City of Conway is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Information Technology Support Technician. This position assists in the installation, maintenance and replacement of computer hardware, software, network equipment, surveillance cameras, police in-car camera systems, mobile data terminals, and police body cameras. Assists the City’s Information Technology personnel in assessing the Information Technology needs of the department and City. Performs other City Information Technology matters as assigned and other related duties as required. Reports to the Technology Services Director and Deputy Director.
Minimum Experience and Training
Requires associate’s degree, vocational technical degree or specialized
training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education with emphasis in data communications, computer networking, information technology or a closely related field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
Entry-level pay for this position is $47,223.00
