The City of Conway is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Business License Inspector. Under the regular supervision of the Finance Director, this position performs technical work involving the inspection and investigation of City business establishments to secure compliance with the business license ordinance. This position performs inspections, maintains records to ensure compliance with the City’s business license codes, ensures security and confidentiality of files, assists business owners with questions regarding business license and taxes, monitors construction activities to verify accurate reporting of gross receipts, conducts investigations on non-compliance issues and perform administrative/clerical and other duties as required.

Minimum Training and Experience: Associate degree in accounting, business administration or related field preferred with one (1) to two (2) years of experience in office operations; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Pay-Range for this position: $44,833 – $73,974
