What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Service Officer (Part-Time) position at City of Colleyville?
Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to perform non-emergency and public contact functions within the Police Department.

- Takes reports of minor offenses not in progress and enters the reports directly into the records management system.
- Assists Police Officers and other staff with non-emergency duties.
- Directs traffic and assists with crossing guard duty.
- Assists the public in the lobby and answers general questions regarding City ordinances and State Laws.
- Assists with parking, blocking roadways, or manning an information station during major City events.
- Picks up abandoned bicycles and other found property.
- Assumes custody of evidence brought to the Police Department by complainants and follows necessary storage procedures.
- Obtain and maintain TCIC/NCIC access.
- Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
- Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
- Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one (1) year of experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas Driver’s License.
