What are the responsibilities and job description for the City Administrator position at City of Coffman Cove?
Job Purpose: Administers City policy, ordinances and advises council and staff on procedure protocol. Manages and administers City projects from concept to completion. Serves as City personnel manager as designated by council. Write, administer and report state, federal and local grants. Lobby City issues and priorities to both State and Federal legislative staff either locally or in Washington, DC. Participate in regional committee's to promote growth and stability for the City.
Duties:
· Manage and administer City projects as identified by the council.
· Participate in regional committees' to promote the growth and stability of the City.
· Write, administer and report grants on behalf of the City for specified projects.
· Lobby issues and projects to legislative staff both locally and federally for specified projects. Some travel may be required both in and out of state.
· Promotes economic development.
· Help develop and oversee the municipal budget.
· Attend City council meetings and be prepared with written or oral reports upon request.
· Maintains safe and clean work area by tidiness, light cleaning and facilities care such as vacuuming, window washing, plant watering, dusting, etc.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing projects and related needs as directed. Assists other staff with daily tasks as needed.
· Promote a positive professional image of City business and information.Dress code for this position is business casual. Employee must follow rules outlined in City employee handbook.
· Maintains compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations and reporting.
· Supervising department heads and completing regular performance reviews.
· Must maintain up to date knowledge of all local and state government laws.
· Must have accounting knowledge and knowledge of accounting software.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
