Under administrative direction, the Gas Operations Division Manager manages, administers, and supervises the CGS Energy operations. Oversees all retail operations to include installation, service, repair, inventory, and warehouse operations.

Essential Functions: -- Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plans, develops, and manages the various retail operational sections of CGS which include Installation and Service & Repair and warehouse operations/inventory control.
Provides leadership, direction, and guidance on policy implementation and general operational effectiveness.
Evaluates profitability of individual retail sections and provides recommendations to Gas Executive Director and Assistant Director on any proposed changes.
Develops business process flows for better operational efficiency.
Manages the installation of gas piping in new & existing facilities.
Works closely with the Sales Team to maximize customer base and usage.
Work with Sales, Services, Field management and administration to meet customer needs, deadlines, and requirements.
Establish and monitor Retail Service Agreements.
Draft, review and coordinate contractor and material bids.
Interfaces with Purchasing, finance and legal to procure qualified service contractors.
Ensure all retail contractors are properly licensed, insured, and perform work to State statutes and Clearwater Gas standards.
Provides technical and general support to meter shop; manages facility–buildings and operations yards.
Coordinates CGS emergency management, operations and employee meetings.
Employee hiring and onboarding for assigned sections.
Facilitate administrative and field employee performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
Facilitate, review and/or approve all documentation and discipline for assigned field and administrative staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment:
A valid State driver's license is required.
Obtain and maintain the State of Florida Propane Master Qualifier and Propane Qualifier licenses within one (1) year of job entry as a Gas Operations Division Head.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field based on area of assignment AND five (5) years of professional level experience in the field of gas supply and distribution or gas service and maintenance to include three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in gas operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of –
Modern Management principles and practices relating to the administration of gas systems
Principles and practices of gas supply, distribution operation, and structural features of intermediate and high-pressure gas distribution systems
Gas service and maintenance operations and applicable codes and regulations
Liquefied petroleum gas systems and applicable codes and regulations
Municipal, state, and national gas codes
Hazards and safety precautions
Department policies and protocols
Skill in –
Motivating, leading, directing, and supervising subordinate technicians
Inspecting, supervising, and overseeing work of less skilled employees and providing training
Experienced in employee growth and development
Strong focus and commitment on safety
Adaptable to a changing work environment
Overseeing multiple areas of the gas department
