: SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Reviews, modifies, and designs programs and systems, which includes reviewing and approving contractor and consultant deliverables.
- Provides engineering support on new programs and infrastructure systems, monitors and analyzes data, and performs related duties.
- Inspects plans to determine compliance with design specifications as necessary.
- Prepares and reviews various operational records and reports including technical reports, easement descriptions, design calculations, drawings, specifications, proposals, construction submittals, and related documents.
- Supervises professional staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Performs other related work as required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree from an accredited engineering program.
- Three (3) years of professional engineering experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the job's essential duties.
- Tennessee Professional Engineering License
