This position provides leadership and oversight of maintenance, operations, and construction activities across facilities and infrastructure within Cincinnati Parks. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating daily work across multiple skilled trades—such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and HVAC technicians—to ensure facilities, grounds, and structures are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
The role requires close collaboration with engineers, architects, contractors, and internal teams, including conservation staff and naturalists, to support capital projects, renovations, and environmentally responsible practices. The incumbent will help plan, prioritize, and monitor work, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and departmental standards.
This position also serves as a key point of contact for contractors and the public, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining a high level of customer service. As a senior staff member, the role supports department leadership by contributing to operational planning, identifying improvements, and ensuring effective service delivery.
Strong leadership, technical knowledge, and sound judgment are essential, as work is performed in both field and office settings and may involve responding to urgent operational needs.

An Associate’s degree in business administration, public administration, or area of operational expertise is required. A Bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned or operational areas is strongly preferred. Three years of experience in recreation management, parks management, public administration or closely related field.
Relevant experience may be substituted for education and education may be substitute for relevant work experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid Driver's License.

Environmental Conditions: Indoor and outdoor environments; exposure to office computer screens; exposure to extremes in weather conditions; work with machinery, around moving vehicles; work on slippery or uneven surfaces; exposure to dust, exhaust fumes, toxic chemicals.
Physical Conditions: Duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; moderate lifting and carrying; general manual dexterity required; must be able to operate assigned vehicle.
Salary : $72,388 - $110,053
