The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as an IT Programmer Senior Analyst. This is a regular full-time, exempt position with benefits. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, which may include weekend and nighttime work outside of normal work hours.
Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

Minimum qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; and
- 4 years of recent experience in systems application analysis, highly complex technical documentation programming, including acting as a lead system implementer on a project team delivering an enterprise solution; experience in web development (C#, ASP.Net, Angular, NodeJs preferred), BASH/Linux, XML, JSON, Database development (Progress, SQL, PL/SQL desired); or
- any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired qualifications
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, software implementations, and support contracts while ensuring project milestones and service expectations are met.
- Knowledge of Ansible or similar automation and configuration management tools for application deployment and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with source code management and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong business analysis skills, including facilitating requirements gathering sessions, documenting business processes, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and promoting development standards and best practices.
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
