The City of Chandler Communications and Public Affairs Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Digital Content Creator for the Mayor and Council Office. The position is scheduled to work 5 days, 8 hours.
Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.
Why work for Chandler?
The digital content staff develops content for the city's website and social media platforms. They work closely with the PIOs and Video Production staff to produce visual media for communicating with the public in interesting, engaging and timely ways. The Digital Content Creator supporting Mayor and Council also supports various public engagement efforts.
Mayor and Council staff provide administrative, communications, public affairs, and constituent services support to Mayor and Council. They report to the Communications and Public Affairs Director.
Who We Are Looking For
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with a high level of political acumen, digital literacy and creative skill to create content for the City's social media platforms through collaboration with City Council and the Mayor.

- A Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communications, Digital Media or a related field; and
- 3 years of experience in marketing or communications with an emphasis on social media; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
