The City of Centerville is seeking a full-time Park Maintenance Worker to maintain Center Park and operate the city's splash pad during the summer season. During the winter months, this position transitions to a Utility Maintenance Worker and assists with public works operations throughout the city.
Summer duties include operating and maintaining the splash pad, testing water quality, adding chemicals, cleaning restrooms, picking up litter, emptying trash cans, performing minor repairs and maintenance, and ensuring Center Park remains clean, safe, and presentable for public use.
During the winter, the position assists with the maintenance and repair of city water, sewer, and storm systems, streets, parks, and other public facilities.
Summer work schedule is Friday through Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Winter work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The position involves outdoor physical labor and requires working in a variety of weather conditions.
Pay is dependent upon qualifications and relevant experience.
